DAVID SANDERSON

Lamoine Community Arts mourns the loss   of one of its founders, David Sanderson,     who died this April, 2018, after a short       illness.  David was a vital member of LCA   since its founding.  He was an actor, who   thrived on the "big personality" roles, as   well as a willing worker at all the tasks   necessary to put a production on the   stage.  David, a career facilitatior, led the   first LCA Retreat, chaired the LCA   fundraising committee, and tirelessly   worked on Grange planning and   renovation.  He will be missed dearly by   LCA and all who knew him.

Summer Arts Scholarships

LCA provides "Summer Arts Scholarships" to area students.  Applicants must live in Lamoine or attend Lamoine Consolidated School and demonstrate financial need.  We are fully committed to supporting our local students in pursuit of opportunities in the arts!  Applications can be obtained at LCS or from area high schools' guidance offices.
LCA offers a limited number of partial scholarships to Maine summer arts programs.  They are for summer camps or programs related to all arts, including music, art, dance, theater, visual arts or any combination thereof.  Any student in grades K-12 who is a resident of Lamoine or attends the Lamoine Consolidated School is welcome to apply.  Scholarship awards wil be based on need.  Each family is expected to pay a portion of the cost.  This scholarship program gives first preference to Lamoine residents.

Application packets are available in th office of the Lamoine Consolidated School or the guidance offices at Ellsworth and MDI High Schools.
